Annual MADEIRADIG festival takes place from 3rd- 6th December 2010

8th October 2010 – Calling all electro and digital music fans: this year’s MADEIRADIG festival takes place from 3rd – 6th December 2010. For three days, the volcanic island is transformed into a hotbed of digital culture and in order to safeguard Madeira’s natural beauty, the annual festival is limited to a maximum of 200 guests.

The event, organised by ‘Digital in Berlin’ and first launched in 2004, brings together digital musicians, film producers, artists and photographers from across the globe. It also seeks to inspire local Madeiran artists and promote local talent.

This year’s line up includes the minimalist electro beats of Ben Frost, the award winning innovative dance tunes of Janek Schaefer, as well as the dreamy melodies of Richard Skelton, and many more.

When the music of the night draws to a close, visitors on the MADEIRADIG guest list can swap digital drumming for the lappings of the ocean and join the DJs at their hotel accommodation – the Design Hotel Estalagem da Ponta do Sol. Guests also benefit from special rates. The subtropical island enjoys minimum temperates of 17ºC all year round, offering digital music revellers the perfect excuse to beat the winter blues.
